The Dove

I think my book somehow has an element of freedom which is why I wanted a dove on the front cover of my first book. They are beautiful and signal peace, love and joy. They kinder a warm feeling when you see them in flight

 

The Monarchy

There are a few poems about the monarchy, past and the very present. I think they are very important figures in todays people of prominence. The younger generation of royals are very influential and have used their platform magnificently to help the disadvantaged.

 

There Are Several Poems Featuring Children In Untie These Hands........

I think children are our future, after all they are little people, they grow and materialise into adults. Each one is individual and they have very interesting personalities. I'm sure their parents can tell you, they, their childhood friends and even teachers can learn from these little tikes.

 

Roman Gods And Goddesses

A lot of the poems in this book have a Roman or Greek God/Goddess theme. This is because it is so mystifying and intriguing. I grew up with a lot of films like, Jason And The Argonauts, Sinbad And The Eye Of The tiger and Clash Of The Titans. I was wowed, my imagination was totally engaged!

Christianity

As you may have read in my synopsis on the back cover of the book, there is a theme of Christianity also running through the book. I have done this as I know the bible is the best selling book on this Earth, also I know the words, verses and psalms in the bible give a lot of people comfort. That being said I also find it very therapeutic to write on this subject, the words just come together and it is also very pleasing and relaxing for me 

 

The Lovers

There are a lot of poems in this book about love and the relationship, and feelings a person goes through when they are in a relationship, whether it be romantic, friendship or a mother/father bond with a child. As you can see, some of these poems are very powerful. You might even identify with some of the words and  emotions that are written in Untie These Hands, if you do, then I have done my job to the greatest extent I can as a writer. I want to stir emotion, not just in lovers but in the troubled and confused. Those who are mentally depressed or at a low time in their life, I want them to pick up this book and be reassured, comforted and calmed. If you have a brother and he is a little bit malevolent and you don't know how to help him, maybe just buy this book and leave it in his room - see what happens?

I'm, a firm believer that Dr's and nurses after a long day, their minds are going ten to the dozen and it is not always camomile tea that helps them to sleep. They are very intellectual people, not just brilliant at creating new cures and surgeries, at the end of their shift they just want to relax sometimes. Soft, soothing and pacifying words can do the trick. It slows the mind down and lulls it to sleep.
